Mr. Hamilton serves as the Principal for grades nine through twelve. He has served in Christian education for 15 years—all of those at Hickory Grove Christian School.
He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is completing his Masters in Christian Education and Biblical Counseling from Southeastern Theological Seminary.
While at Hickory Grove, Mr. Hamilton served as a teacher for the first five years of his career and then transitioned to a role in administration, serving as Dean of Students. In this role, Mr. Hamilton focused his time developing student relationships while walking through Biblically based discipleship and discipline. He is a firm believer that you cannot have one without the other.
Mr. Hamilton also has a counterpart serving in the school. His wife, Elizabeth, of 13 years, is a Middle School English teacher at HGCS. They have four children, Leah (10), Dom (10), Tim (9), and Tinsely (4). It is truly a family affair, and they are deeply invested in Hickory Grove throughout all grade levels.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton are faithful members of Hickory Grove Baptist Church and are active in the foster care and adoption community. They are passionate about seeing children come to know Christ through the love of a family and the ministry of adoption.
