Performing Arts

Our performing arts program gives students a stage to grow in confidence, work as a team and use their gifts for God's glory. Students sing, play, act, dance and lead worship, from their first music class in elementary school to leading roles in our high school productions. Throughout the year, they perform in chapel, end-of-semester concerts, band festivals, two drama productions and a spring musical.

Elementary students explore music through Music class, and Elementary Choir offers more chances to sing and perform. More details about our elementary music program are coming soon!

Middle school is a great time to try something new. Students can explore band, theatre, musical theater, dance, and worship leadership, and every course ends with a chance to perform.

Music

Beginner Band (6th) · Students learn the basics of an instrument: proper technique, music reading, rhythm and tone. No experience needed.

Intermediate Band (7th–8th) · Students build on band fundamentals through rehearsals and performances, growing in technique, discipline and teamwork.

Praise Team (7th–8th) · For students who want to use their musical gifts to lead others in worship. Students develop vocal, instrumental and stage skills while studying the biblical foundation of worship.

Theatre & Dance

Theatre (7th–8th) · Improv, pantomime, acting and an introduction to tech roles. Each quarter ends with a one-act play performed in class for an audience of invited guests.

Musical Theatre (7th–8th) · Students rotate through dancing, singing and acting, then perform one or two songs at the end of the semester. It's a great way to sample every part of the performing arts.

Beginning Dance (7th–8th) · Students explore the basic principles of dance, with a focus on modern dance and its emphasis on expression and worship. No experience needed.

High school performers sharpen their craft through a full calendar of concerts and productions. Our choir, theatre and musical theatre classes each bring students of every level together in one group, with advanced instruction for experienced students. Along the way, they learn to look at the performing arts through a biblical worldview.
